Note on Production Centers:
A Production Center is the area members select to be employed under the "local hire" terms of the Guild's collective bargaining agreements.
The DGA and AMPTP determine which areas are Production Centers pursuant to film and television employment and production patterns.
Members who reside outside of a Production Center area may also establish a local employment address, which allows them to also be
employed as a "local hire" in that area. Members may obtain more information from the "Production Center/Local Employment FAQ" located
on the DGA "Members Only Website." Employers seeking a list of qualified members who reside outside a Production Center location may
call the DGA Membership Dept. at 310-289-5367.
A member's residency has no bearing on Qualification List (QL) status. The DGA Contract Administration (DGACA) maintains the lists of
qualified 1st Assistant Directors, 2nd Assistant Directors and Unit Production Managers who have met the minimum requirements for work
in these categories. To confirm a member's QL status, or for more information on the QL, please visit our
DGACA page.
